We are a small repair and restoration business located in Harrow, Ontario committed to the preservation and maintenance of wooden boats specializing in Chris Craft and Pacemakers. We use traditional construction techniques using modern materials enhancing the longevity of these pieces of our marine heritage. Pictured is our family aboard our new Pacemaker in the aft saloon. Our two young daughters mean our "yard" is never quiet!!
Our current projects include:
1950 41' DCFB Chris Craft: Scope of project includes complete rebuild of forward saloon windows, stripping of all exterior brightwork and refinishing, new aft cabin upper and lower bulkheads, removal and reconditioning of fuel tanks, complete new transom including cheeks, framing, knees and planking. Stem repair and fairing and painting of hull. Interior of boat being completed by owner including all new wiring and electrical system and refinishing of all interior woodwork. Our facility is open to our customers and we encourage owner participation in any restoration project.
1954 20' Chris Craft Riviera: We have purchased this boat and will be completing a frame off restoration. We will be installing a Dannenburg bottom using his plywood and plank hybrid construction technique providing for a maintenance free bottom that will last 30 years. All exterior planking will be replaced with new Honduros mahogany stock book matched and finished bright to the original factory specification. We would be interested in talking with prosepective buyers to finish the interior to suit the colours of your choice. If you would like to inquire about this boat, please contact us through the "contact us" page of our site. Thank you.
We are also working on our own boat which is a wood 1971 60' Pacemaker FDMY. We purchased this boat in the summer of 09 and are embarking on a detailed rebuilding over the next five years. Our plan includes a stem rebuild, multiple rib replacement, refinishing of the teak decks, repair and repainting of the saloon cabintop, addition of a radar arch (hinged) and relocation of the radar and a complete facelift of the interior. We will be maintaining the original layout of the interior but redecorating to suit our taste. The boat currently retains the original 1971 interior-wow, those 70's were crazy!!
