About Me

I am a Cardiologist in the Hudson Valley area of New York. I grew up around boats. My dad bought new a 1969 60 foot Pacemaker , hull number 146. I saw it being built in Lower Bank, N.J. That boat had such an influence on me that I came very close to making naval architecture a career.

I found your site, and when I saw the 44 and 60 Paces, I was hooked. The boats have lots of room,  and are very efficient hulls. Unfortunately, rot was a big problem, especially the flybridge, which had to be replaced after only three years.

I look forward to viewing the progress on the restoration of your 60.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the note. I have sold my 44' Pacemaker and am into a serious restoration of my 60' Pacemaker. I will post some pictures to the site for you to see-lots of work. I havent had any problems with rot from the flybridge. Big issues with the ribs at the turn of the bilge and serious problems aft, under the fuel tank. A complete rebuild there. So, are currently boating?
